Timbakote Rustic Coating system is an ideal finish for all exterior bandsawn timber, textured fibre cement weatherboards and rough cast concrete.

New Timber should be clean and dry, free of any loose fibres. Sharp edges must be sanded, nail holes and minor defects to be filled with suitable quality timber filler.
Exposed Timber (greater then one week), remove any contamination; loose timber fibres and treat with sugar soap solution Complete as per new timber.
Previously oiled or stained timber: remove all poorly adhering coatings, sand and treat with a sugar soap solution . Complete as per new timber.
Fibre Cement Weatherboards and Concrete Should be clean and surfaces dry, free from contaminants.

Stir all coatings well before and during use with a flat stirrer.

Apply 1 coat of Timbakote Rustic Basecoat with a good quality paintbrush, applicator pad, roller or spray.
Allow up to 2 hours for Timbakote Rustic Basecoat to dry.

Apply 2-3 coats of Timbakote Timber Pro topcoat to achieve the desired timber colour. Do not over spread, as achieving the correct film build is important to the life of semi-transparent coatings.

Thinning is not generally recommended, as it can be detrimental to the coatings performance. The addition of 50mils of water per litre may be required in hot weather or when coating absorbent surfaces.
