Timbakote offers a range durable exterior coating systems & high performance interior clear finishes to suit all applications where a transparent or semi-transparent timber finish is required.
Timbakote coating systems have been specified and used on over 3000 homes and commercial projects since 2001. We offer the only 10 year durable exterior stain system in NZ that is supported by a Warranty.
Timbakote has been independently tested by Forest Research Institute (Ensis) and received the highest possible rating for a film forming semi-transparent coating system.

What System to Use?
Exterior Coating Systems
Timbakote Cedar Pro
Apply 2 coats of Timbakote Cedar Pro directly to exterior timber substrates. A 3rd coat should be applied to achieve a more solid colour if desired or for exposed aspects such as north facing elevations or coastal locations.

Timbakote Timber Pro Rustic Coating
Apply 1 coat Timbakote Rustic Basecoat and 2 coats of Timbakote Timber Pro Rustic.
Timber Pro Rustic Basecoat is an opaque acrylic coating that will limit light initiated degradation of the timber surface providing superior long term performance.
10-year maintained durability for this coating system.
NB: The Timber Pro Rustic Coating System is for application only on band sawn timber, textured weatherboard and textured substrates.
Timbakote Deck Pro Stain
Apply 2 coats. Reapply every 2-3 years. Can be used on dressed & rough sawn timber
Interior Coating System
- Timbakote Durashield (Satin)
Durashield
Apply 3 coats of Timbakote Durashield. Suitable for all interior timber applications excluding floors where a transparent or semi-transparent hard wearing finish is required. Can be tinted to the 24 Timbakote colours & Blonding tints.
